Welcome to Brckt ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website (brckt.io) and our SaaS services.
We automatically collect certain information when you visit our website, including: browser type, device type, operating system, IP address, and usage patterns.
By signing up for the Service, you will be enrolled in our newsletter. You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time through your account settings or via the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email.
When you join a private or featured bracket group, the designated group administrator can view your account email address in group settings to manage membership and communicate about the group. Group administrators can also send messages to members through the Service; those messages are delivered from groups@brckt.io (shown to recipients as "BRCKT Group Update") on behalf of the group administrator. Member replies are directed to the group administrator's account email address. We do not sell member email addresses to group administrators; access is limited to group administration features within the Service.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Your data is stored securely in the United States using encrypted databases and secure servers.

For now, to request deletion of your account and the personal data we hold about you, email support@brckt.io from the email address associated with your account. Use a clear subject line such as "Data deletion request" so we can verify ownership and process your request.
We use Clerk for sign-in and account security. When you ask us to delete your data, we remove it from our services and delete your user in Clerk as part of that request. Clerk's Privacy Policy describes how Clerk handles personal information; end-user "customer data" processed for our app is primarily governed by this policy and our agreement with Clerk.
We use cookies and similar technologies in two distinct ways.
These are required for the Service to function and are set regardless of your choices below. They include your sign-in session (set by Clerk), a cookie recording the country your request came from so we know whether to ask for your consent, and a cookie recording your answer once you have given it. These do not track you across other websites.
Google Analytics, Ahrefs Analytics, and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel measure how the Service is used and how our advertising performs. The Meta Pixel may be used to show you ads on Meta platforms and to measure their results.
If you are in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, none of these are loaded until you accept them. We ask on your first visit and we do not load any of them while we are waiting for your answer. Declining is a real option: the Service works identically either way, and we will not ask you again.

Our services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
